Andy’s Books for Kids… Sounds Like a Plan!, our not for profit organization honoring our son, Andy Hodge, who lost his life to a brain tumor in 2006, is in its twelth year of donating new children’s books to kids in the greater Rockford area and beyond. For many families it has become all too common to consider buying books for their children a luxury rather than a necessity. So Andy’s Books is stepping in to help fill that gap.
Andy’s Books completed 21 donation events this school calendar year. Please click here for information about these and our other current and past donation projects. Or you may contact me directly by email at meghodge@andysbooks.org. You may donate either online by clicking here or by check, made out to Andy’s Books for Kids and mailed to 11708 Inverway, Belvidere, IL 61008.
Every gift will be directly applied to the purchase of new children’s books, making a difference to so many of our kids.
Andy’s Books is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization and all donations are tax deductible.2017-2018 School Year Projects Please click the Donate button below

Kids’ Quotes
“I want to thank you for giving me the Escape from Mr. Lemoncello’s Library. I normally never like reading because I can’t find a book I like. The only time I would read is if I had to. But with this book I wanted to read! The book was exciting and you never knew what was going to happen next. We are so lucky that you gave us these books. Thank you so much!”
“Thank you so much for the wonderful book, each and every night me and my mom sit down and read and laugh and I will never forget that thanks to you!
“I am so extremely thankful for all the books you’ve given us. I can’t express how much the students at Olson Park love you. I’ve been reading your books since second grade. If I am having a rough day I can sit down and read the books all the time. Thank you sooooo much for all you have done for us. “Once you learn how to do this you will be forever free! Answer: READ.”
